Step 9: Out of the Mold

Once the Mold has completely dried, they bring each half out and remove the body from the Mold. Both pieces are then dry fit on top of each other to ensure a perfect fit.  Once it arrives to this point in the process, the two halves are then riveted together and sent back in for one more pass of fiberglass. This last layer of fiberglass will be laid at the seams where the two bodies are riveted together.

Once your boat has been fit together, it will go into the finish room. Here it will be buffed and polished. At this time, the upholsterers and steel makers are hard at work configuring each piece to be fit into your boat.
