Step 7: Drying

After the fiberglass has been laid into the Mold, each Mold is then left to dry. Vacuum Bagging is standard on all Hulls from 30 feet and up, to ensure strength. Vacuum Bagging pushes the resins deep into the fiberglass mesh.

See the form taking shape? This being the top of the boat, bow side. You can see where you would enter the Cuddy. To the right of the this Mold you can see the Mold of the Hull.

Notice there is no need for plywood reinforcing on the bow of the boat, the strength and quality of the materials allows the boat to be lighter and stronger.
